In 2007 she started her professional career at Momentive as Member of the Commercial Leadership Programme within the Distribution Channel Management Team where she was instrumental in developing and implementing a company-wide distribution channel strategy. She moved to the Silanes commercial organization in 2010 where she held several roles in account management and market development.

Today Alenka is Application Development Engineer A&S with the focus on identifying new market opportunities for organofunctional silanes, silylated polyurethane prepolymers and silicone resin specialties for adhesive and sealant applications.

Presentation Abstract

New developments in silylated prepolymers

Silylated polyurethane prepolymers are the next generation of polyurethane technology. They are growing rapidly in the global adhesives, sealants and coatings segments due to their advantages in regulatory compliance and ease of application (lack of bubble formation on damp substrates) due to their non-isocyanate curing mechanism.  Additionally, silylated polyurethane prepolymers offer excellent adhesion (built-in silane bonding), paintability and re-workability.

SPUR+* technology was pioneering in the field of silylated polyurethane technology, and Momentive continues to push the boundaries of innovation today. This presentation will briefly describe some of the new developments built upon the SPUR+* technology platform. Specifically we will discuss developments in water repellent liquid membranes for construction applications and high modulus industrial adhesives for automotive and transportation applications.
