2016 Conference Report

This year’s FEICA European Adhesive & Sealant Conference and EXPO, held in Austria, was acknowledged once again as a resounding success, as confirmed by the glowing reviews on the evaluation forms submitted by participants after the event. Attended by 500 adhesives and sealants professionals, the Vienna Hilton was buzzing with activity for three very informative days. Hot topics in adhesives and sealants were covered during the seminars, whilst the EXPO booths showed off the latest trends in the industry.

Another record number of adhesives and sealants professionals came together to discuss market drivers, key challenges, sustainable developments and innovations and new technologies. The theme of the conference’s Business Forum was “Pursuing Growth – Strategic Choices in a Rapidly Changing World” and provided indispensable practical insights into a variety of topics such as the circular economy and growth strategies in the adhesives and sealants industry. The conference’s break-out sessions gave delegates a chance to attend informative sessions on a wide range of tracks such as marketing, technical, regulatory and sustainability. The EXPO gave strategic suppliers to the industry an opportunity to present their latest developments to an audience of key industry decision makers.

The FEICA President, Steve Kenny (H.B. Fuller), opened his first FEICA Conference as President by welcoming FEICA’s new Secretary General, Philip Bruce. He also stated that “The pace of change around the industry continues to accelerate, generating both challenges and opportunities for us all”. Kenny added that “FEICA continues to strive to provide all of its members with the best possible support in order to equip them to effectively tackle those challenges and to aggressively seize opportunities as they present themselves.”

Philip Bruce said that “the FEICA Conference and EXPO is the perfect platform for the Association to showcase what it focusses on, working hard to deliver a beneficial economic and legislative environment for our industry in Europe, and to inform and educate our members and other key stakeholders. It therefore continues to consolidate its position as Europe’s premier event for the adhesives and sealants industry”.

FEICA thanks the sponsors, speakers and moderators, exhibitors and every single participant for the success of the 2016 FEICA Conference & EXPO. The 2017 FEICA Conference & EXPO will be held in Sardinia, Italy, from 13-15 September 2017.
