Frédéric Simon graduated from the Chemical Engineering School of Paris (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Paris). Then he earned his PHD in chemistry at the University of Nancy. He joined BOSTIK in 1998, holding several positions in Research and Development in the field of Adhesives (Water-based, Solvent-based, Hotmelts, Polymerization). Today, he is in charge of the Reactive Technologies Upstream R&D Team. His research interests include the development of new technologies in the field of Polyurethane, Silylated Adhesives and Structural Acrylics : use of renewable resources, development of Polyurethanes without using isocyanates, reduction of free isocyanate monomers, catalysis. He is author and co-author of more than 20 patents.
