Dr Kamyar Alavi holds a MSc degree in Chemical Engineering (1998), and PhD in Polymer Science and Technology (2004) from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. Kamyar joined Nynas in 2007, first as Project Manager, eventually becoming the Technical Manager for chemical and tyre industries. As part of this role he was responsible for the technical development and support for the Adgesive industry.
He currently holds the position of Senior Technical Specialist for various process oil applications and is a frequent speaker at conferences and other relevant industry events representing Nynas to share the results of the company’s technical works.
