Yu Sakai studied at the graduate school of Osaka Institute of Technology in Japan majoring in chemical engineering. He then joined Shiraishi Central Laboratories in 2008 in the R&D department of Shiraishi Kogyo Kaisha, and was in charge of developing Ultrafine Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (UFPCC) products for Sealants and Adhesives. Later, he moved to the sales division of the Shiraishi Group, taking on the role of Sales Engineer for UFPCC business in Asia, before switching focus to the European market in 2021.
