Dr. Achten heads the department for modern coatings and adhesives applications at Covestro, currently focusing on the development of new materials and technologies for automated and digital applications in the coatings and adhesives industries. Prior to his current role, Dr. Achten held various management positions in the R&D and Application Development for rubber materials, adhesives and coatings. Besides a PhD in Polymer Science from RWTH Aachen, Dr. Achten holds a degree as a European Adhesives Engineer from IFAM Bremen and as a Rubber Engineer from DIK Hannover.
