As the importance and urgency of sustainability are getting increasingly recognised, the different ways of addressing and contributing to it are being increasingly understood. From a raw material development perspective, carbon footprint, content of renewable or circular components as well as impact on performance and life time of the final product need to be considered for a proper assessment of overall sustainability
At Nynas we are committed to sustainability and take it into account at all levels of our company. Our newly introduced ReSolution platform takes above aspects into account for the sustainability assessment of our products, where the reduction of emissions throughout the value chain plays a vital role.
As an illustrative example, our plasticisers for the adhesive industry have been well-known and appreciated for their high performance in application which gives stronger adhesives with a longer service life. As a further step into our contribution to sustainability Nynas has taken steps to make – through our EVO platform – the same products however with a significant reduction in the carbon footprint.
In this paper we will present our work on sustainable development through the ReSolution platform, with a focus on our latest offering of sustainable plasticisers for the adhesive industry.
